
TAG Heuer did end up going with always-controversial, faux-aged lume for the hour and minute hands and indices but it doesn’t dominate the watch’s look and, in my opinion, effectively complements the blue model’s appeal.Īlong with the blue dial, TAG Heuer also released a sporty black and red model on a motorsport-inspired, perforated, black leather strap with red stitching that is reminiscent of the Monza re-issue from 2016.īoth watches are made from polished steel and are 41 mm in diameter. Overall, it’s an inspired vintage take that doesn’t feel overly antiquated or bland.

There was something about how the almost-azure dial and orange-red highlights contrasted that really stood out for me.
